Clarke and Carolyn Gage are Area Pastors over the 10 CIS/Baltic countries which includes Russia and those countries that were once part of the former USSR. They have established Shepherds Cove, a Pastoral Care/Member Care Center in Tallinn, the capitol city of Estonia, where they headquarter. Shepherds Cove is located in a cove of the Baltic Sea, with forest on either side. As Directors of this Center, they are providing pastoral care for the missionaries from the CIS/Baltic countries as well as national pastors and para-church personnel. They are introducing Assemblies of God to Estonia, which was the last CIS/Baltic country with no Assemblies of God missionary representation. They are coming alongside the existing evangelical churches to strengthen them by training and teaching and helping in any way they can. They are building strong relationships with the Estonian church leaders of all denominations and with the Estonian people. Estonia lived under Communist rule for 40 years. It is a country of great spiritual need. A large percentage of the population is post-modern. Godlessness prevails which breeds spiritual and social problems. Estonia ranks among the highest per capita rate of divorce, suicide, abortion and HIV of any country in the world.
Clarke and Carolyn are both ordained ministers who have spent many years in pastoral ministry as well as radio and television ministry within the U.S. prior to becoming missionaries. They have ministered in 36 nations of the world. Prior to coming to Estonia they pastored International Christian Assembly in Moscow, Russia. They also taught at Moscow Theological Institute.
